Fed Cattle Recap: Christmas brings higher prices

Cash prices for fed cattle were $1 to mostly $2 higher on lower volume during the holiday week.

Its been Christmas all month for feedyards as prices continue to gain ground.

The cash market for fed cattle has been off to the races lately. For the week ending Dec. 14, however, prices coasted to steady.

Cash prices for fed cattle were mostly $1 higher and cash sales volume jumped up after the prior holiday-shortened week.
