You will be a Bid Manager working in an international environment in the context of a highly motivated sales team. You will be an integral part of the Companys success by managing various bids of different levels of complexity, values and for different customers. ResponsibilitiesDuties Initially the role will be to support the Bid Management Team by Analysing customer documentation and planning bids accordingly Coordinating internal and partnersubcontractor bid inputs Ensuring that proposals are compliant with customer and Telespazio VEGA requirements Preparing proposal graphics MS Visio e.g. flowcharts, diagrams Reviewing, preparing and formatting proposals documents Ensure deadlines are met for bid submissions. These responsibilities will quickly be enhanced to take overall responsibility, coordinate the writing and production of bids and quotations on behalf of Business Development Managers. This involves leading temporary teams including staff from partner companies and subcontractors to produce winning proposals, and often managing multiple bids simultaneously. This role requires extensive interaction with sales and technical staff, as well as other support functions both within Telespazio VEGA and partner companies and subcontractors. QualificationsExperience University degree or equivalent. Relevant experience in reviewing, writing, editing, producing and interpreting large commercial document. Experience of a coordination role at high level within an office environment. APMP Foundation Level Certification desirable, not essential. Essential Skills Fluent English and German speaking and writing skills. Meticulous attention to detail and an appreciation of process and quality. Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload with strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Selfmotivated and able to work with minimum supervision. Advanced MS Word skills, experience of MS Visio and MS Project would be an advantage. Job Title Bid Manager Key responsabilities and principle tasks Manage the preparation and elaboration of commercial proposals based on procedures and politics established by the Company and also customer requirements. Coordinate, plan and participate in the different phases of the preparation of the proposals, ensuring deadlines established on the request. Oversee the preparation of the technical offer, preparing the relevant information sheets when required. Receive and integrate all contributions of the agents involved in the preparation of the proposals, obtaining as result the final proposal. Evaluate risks and economic analysis of the proposals, ensuring that cost assessments including all activities required. Lead the proposals review process. Check and validate the associated costs related with the proposal elaboration process. Analyze customer needs and requirements in order to propose and implement appropriate projects to give solution to those needs, ensuring the development of them in the most effective and efficient manner. Participate in the process of identifying new product development needs. Participate in the analysis and activities aimed to improve the competitiveness of TASE products. Give support to the Department in the negotiation process from the proposal delivery until the contract signature. Education Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications engineering or similar. Skills Experience Two years of experience in elaboration of commercial proposals Desirable knowledge in space market and products. Now you can as we have a new opportunity for a Bid Manager to take responsibility for creating winning proposals with deliverable solutions. In this role you will manage and coordinate the bid process to produce proposals including Understanding and complying with the customers proposal timescale, submission and content requirements, working with Sales to understand the wider context of the customers request and potential competition Working in partnership with the Sales team to define the proposalwinning strategy and to ensure the awareness and buyin of these by management and the proposal team Manage the required proposal gate reviews Working in partnership with Applications Engineers to understand customer requirements and Statement of Work and generate a proposal that matches the customers expectations with e2vs resource and capabilities Working with and consulting all appropriate teams and support functions to produce an agreed deliverable solution which meets the customers business and cost objectives whilst maximising value for e2v Assessing and quantifying risk through the prescribed risk management process and reviews, minimising risk to both e2v and the customer Demonstrating compliance and rigour in following the agreed internal e2v bid processes including bid planning, resource manager work package owner agreement, project scheduling, cost profiling and cashflow management, procurement planning, risk management and bid review documents Producing a robust proposal which facilitates both local and global management decisionmaking, understanding and relating how the opportunity supports the execution of e2vs strategy Pair with the Sales team in the negotiation strategy including pricing, alternative options and acceptable terms and conditions, whilst delivering a consistent sales message throughout the customers experience Maintain the historical record of proposals via the proposal database Manage postaward debriefing process with the appointed Project manager and Technical Authority From a strategic and Business Development perspective, the role includes Understanding market trends and identifying future customer needs and applications Understanding e2vs future resource and capability potential to support bid activity in new markets or applications Contributing and participating in Space Imagings strategic planning process and execution Delivering successful bids to maximise resource utilisation and support the business pipeline To continually improve the quality of bid activity and thereby raise the reputation of the organisation.
