SME named 3 of its student chapter faculty advisors – Eric McKell, Elsayed A. Orady, and Patricia Polastri – as its 2015 Distinguished Faculty Advisors. This is in recognition for service to SME as well as overall efforts to create, revitalize, and maintain chapters that offer students opportunities to see benefits of manufacturing education and careers. Given to each advisor, $1,000 award will go towards supporting student chapter activities and/or professional development opportunities.

RTCC: Australia should cut greenhouse gas emissions 30% from 2000 levels by 2025, the governments Climate Change Authority has recommended. By 2030, the country should target a 40-60% cut, according to the advisory bodys final report. These goals broadly match the US and EU targets and are in line with the global goal to limit warming to 2C, the experts said.
