The city of West Palm Beach has given the go-ahead to All Aboard Florida to shut down two downtown railroad crossings. Developers of the high speed rail line asked city commissioners last night to close the Florida East Coast tracks at Datura and Evernia Streets so they can build a train station.

Private equity firm Hellman & Friedman LLC is close to buying privately held supermarket chain Grocery Outlet Inc, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The deal, which could be announced by Monday, would cap an auction involving several buyout firms, the Journal reported.

The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require lane closures of NE Halsey Street from NE 60th Avenue to NE 70th Avenue. The lane closures will be in effect Monday, September 15 through Friday, September 19, 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. each weekday, but may also include some weekend work.
