Guardian: Chinas coal imports fell by nearly half in the first three months of the year as the slowing economy and tougher rules on pollution took their toll. Imports by the worlds biggest coal consumer reached 49.07m tonnes in the first quarter, a fall of 42% on the same period a year ago according to data from the Chinese customs office. China's auto sales pick up in March

Sales of passenger vehicles in world's largest auto market rose 9.4 percent to 1.87 million last month, from 6.4 percent in February, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. CAAM said the sales of passenger vehicles in the first quarter rose 9 percent to 5.3 million.
