Parents of Melinda Ann "Mandy" Fortuna of Shelburne, Vermont filed suit yesterday against Allergan, Inc., alleging that a series of off-label Botox overdoses were responsible for their daughter's death. Mandy Fortuna died in her sleep on September 25, 2014.

French Air-Control Strike Prompts Scrapping of 1,600 Flights

Airlines have been told that they should tomorrow scrap as many as 50 percent of the 4,000 services that begin or end in France during a normal day, up from 40 percent Wednesday, according to the country's DGAC civil aviation authority. The French unit of Air France-KLM Group halted two-thirds of flights at its Paris Orly short-haul hub today, allowing it to maintain most of its lucrative long-haul operations.

Fire hazard prompts Loblaw space heater recall

Loblaw Companies Ltd. is recalling about 22,000 space heaters sold across Canada because they pose a potential fire hazard. The Everyday Essentials space heater with fan could overheat and cause smouldering or flaming, the recall notice published on Health Canada's website said.
