The collection will range from notebooks made from recycled paper to organic cotton backpacks and reusable lunch totes. One-hundred percent of PBS KIDS' net proceeds from the line will support PBS KIDS educational programming, dedicated to helping all children succeed in school and in life, while Whole Foods Market will donate a percentage of total sales, up to $25,000, to Whole Kids Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving children's nutrition and wellness.

Consumers intuitively associate 'evaporated cane juice' with sugar cane and are well aware that it is a sweetener, Whole Foods Market has argued in a motion to dismiss a false advertising lawsuit. The class action* - filed on April 23 by Missouri plaintiff Lois Bryant - is the latest in a series of lawsuits in which plaintiffs argue ECJ is just a euphemism for sugar and that manufacturers only use it on labels because it sounds healthier/more natural and conceals the fact they are adding sugar to their products.

Whole Foods CEOs admit to overcharging, say it was unintentional

In response to a New York City investigation into pricing at Whole Foods Market Inc. , co-CEOs Jon Mackey and Walter Robb admitted last week that the company had incorrectly charged customers for pre-packaged food sold by weight. The admission came in the form of a video posted to YouTube that featured Mackey and Robb standing in a produce section, explaining their company's transgressions, but insisting that any errors were unintentional.
