Strong interest in the city's Elmwood Village and Hertel Avenue districts has prompted the owners of a historic North Buffalo building to put it up for sale. The Pierce Arrow Building, located at 1685 Elmwood Ave., has been placed on the real estate market by its New York City-based owners, Pierce Arrow Holding LLC. The asking price for the 132,000-square-foot building that dates back to 1906 is $4.99 million.

The order is for a wide range of custom apparatus, including 28 pumpers, nine aerial platforms, four rescue pumpers, three heavy-duty rescues, three aerial tillers, and one Hazmat unit.
