ThinkProgress: Air pollution from hydraulic fracturing operations can likely travel hundreds of miles, even into states with little or no fracking, a new study has found. The study, published in the journal Atmospheric Environment, looked at hourly measurements of air pollutants like ethane and methane - gases that are found in natural gas - in Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C. between 2010 and 2013. CEO Larry Ellison, says it is not taking delivery of the Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft, which it was to buy from Bombardier for $61 million, as part of a reduction in its Hawaii interisland service. Island Air, the Hawaii interisland airline owned by Oracle Corp. co-founder Larry Ellison , will cut its workforce by 20 percent, close its operations on Kauai and cancel delivery of new aircraft in the short term as the airline works to reposition itself as the second largest airline in the Islands, the airline's CEO said Thursday.

Couple kicked off Allegiant Air flight because of woman's oxygen tank

An Ohio couple in central Florida for their daughter's funeral was not able to get home after Allegiant Air removed them from the plane because of their oxygen tank Thursday. Mary Walker has a heart condition and rented the device as a precaution.
