WSC Held Geneva Workshop on conformity assessment.

Hosted by World Standards Cooperation (WSC) on December 1–2, conformity assessment workshop was held under auspices of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and took place at UN's Palais des Nations on Lake Geneva in Switzerland to further understand and provide practical insights into such issues as product safety, personnel competence, and environmental impacts. Workshop included 6 panels and several demonstrations of tools for regulators.

USS Rafael Peralta successfully completes Aegis light off assessment

The US Navy's Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, the USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115), has successfully completed light-off assessment (LOA) of its Aegis Combat System at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works (BIW) shipyard.

City of Tyler water system assessment results released

From the City of Tyler: TYLER, TX - The results of a third party review of Tyler's water treatment processes have been made available for public review today. The assessment was requested by Mayor Martin Heines and City Manager Ed Broussard on Nov. 4 following notification that Tyler experienced non-compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality standards for disinfection by-products .
