More Dutch household have no TV subscription, popularity of Netflix, Videoland on the up - Telecompaper

(Telecompaper) The percentage of Dutch households without a traditional TV connection is almost at 5 percent, an increase of 50 percent compared to two years ago, according to the Telecompaper's Video Behaviour of Dutch Consumers report for the first quarter. Whereas the number of TV connections is on the down, the number of Videoland and Netflix customers continue to grow. The Dutch watch 28 minutes worth of films and series via such services, every day.

Dutch fixed telephony market decrease accelerates to 1.2% in Q1

(Telecompaper) Dutch fixed telephony revenues have dropped by 3.2 percent (EUR 8 million) during the first quarter of 2018 to EUR 239 million. Telecompaper expects the fixed telephony revenues to decrease by 7.1 percent during the full year, according to the new edition of the Dutch Fixed Telephony Market report. According to the market researcher, the revenues for fixed telephony will continue to decrease during the coming year. This means an expected average annual decrease of 7 percent for the period until 2022.
