Location EAC, PorzWahn, Germany Description EAC FM Manager in the ESOC EAC Estates Management Service, ESA Estates Facilities Management Department, Directorate of Internal Service. Duties Under the direct authority of the Head of ESOC EAC Estates and Facilities Management Service, the postholder is responsible for managing the proper functioning of EAC related EFM services and provides operational support to the Head of EAC. Given the status of EAC, the postholder will coordinate very closely with DLR for all EFM Hard and Soft services delivered at EAC. The incumbent will also be in charge of mechanical installations and equipment at ESOC and EAC, acting as expert focal point for site mechanical engineering, carrying out the following duties Carrying out preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance of mechanical systems including quality control of maintenance performed by the site main contractor quality control of mechanical installations and work performed on sitecentre by various contractors reviewing and preparing maintenance procedures and stipulations assessing maintenance contractor performance in meeting maintenance contract requirements assessing contractors activities regarding health safety regulations following up corrective actions Managing mechanical projects on ESOC and EAC infrastructure managing projects from inception to closeout, including commissioning preparing and drawing up work descriptions, project budget and timeplanning estimates preparing, organising and leading meetings as required by management or due to project activities Assisting multidisciplinary projects, providing support for coordinating actions and tasks in the mechanical engineering area organising and leading coordination meetings between team members andor project board meetings communication and information matters linked to project activities project commissioning. Mechanical projects quality control implementation and maintenance of uptodate project plan, project managementcoordination controlling and following up key performance indicators for project management and execution review and evaluate offers received from contractors. Technical competencies Stateoftheart knowledge in area of responsibility at required level Knowledge understanding of the Agencys core business Experience in managing facility management projects Experience in maintaining mechanical installations and equipment Behavioural competencies Problem Solving Planning Organisation Teamwork Customer Focus Results Orientation Innovation Creativity Education Applicants should have a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering. Additional requirements A proven capability to manage maintenance and projects is required. Knowledge and experience of building automation systems and geothermal plants would be an advantage. Competence in hydraulic cooling and heating closedloop systems as well as building humidification systems are required. Location EAC, PorzWahn, Germany Description ISS Security and EAC Infrastructure Engineer in the ISS Ground Segment and Technical IT Systems Team, ISS Operations Astronaut Group, Directorate of Human Robotic Exploration Programmes. Duties The ISS Security and EAC Infrastructure Engineer reports to the ISS Ground Segment GS and Technical IT Systems Team Leader HREOG and is responsible for defining and enforcing the Security Policies applicable to the ISS Exploitation Programme and for managing the GS and IT Infrastructure at EAC. The postholder is responsible for interacting with industrial and national partners as well as partner agencies NASA, RSA, JAXA, CSA on matters of security relating to all ISS facilities and elements ground, flight, payloads, etc.. The postholder is also responsible for the GS and IT infrastructure at EAC, relevant to ISS and to exploration, and including the IT team at EAC. The main tasks include the following. For the ISS Security part Acting as the ISS Programme Security Officer PSO and supervising the EAC Local Site Security Officer Chairing the Security Control Board SCB, which acts as the security authority for the ISS Exploitation Programme Ensuring the definition, evolution and maintenance of the Security Requirements and Security Policies needed by the programme Overseeing the security classification of information relevant to the ISS Exploitation Programme, including data and documents from third parties in the custody of ESA ITARrelated, operational data, etc. Interfacing, and as necessary negotiating the ISS programme security interfaces, between ESA and other agencies, and national, industrial or commercial centres Enforcing security implementation and countermeasures in relation to various stakeholders Payload and system development teams, service leads, industry, operational centres Managing the security infrastructure necessary to the ISS Exploitation Programme Secure Documentation Management System, Public Key Infrastructure, etc. Interfacing with the programme management, directorate Information Security Officer, ESA CERT and ESA Security Office with respect to security risks, mitigations and investments Supervising the ISS Program Technology Transfer Control PlansProcesses TTCP that govern ESA ISS personnel Physical and Logical access to NASA systems resources in coordination with the NASA IP Liaison and ESA Houston Office team Acting as technical officer for the security consultancy contract that supports the various security processes e.g. security audits, incident management, threat assessments, etc.. For the GS and IT Infrastructure part Leading the various GS projects, which include conceptual studies and implementation efforts relevant to the preparation of lunar, Mars and other exploration missions. Emphasis is on mixed interactions between robotic and mantended systems.
