The antenna-to-antenna link gain between a pair of 5.9 GHz inter-vehicular communication (IVC) antennas mounted on adjacent automobiles is computed using Delcross Savant. The effect of a delivery van moving through their environment on a roadway is computed and animated, showing the variation in antenna link coupling.

The radiation pattern response of a 5.9 GHz inter-vehicular communication (IVC) mounted on an automobile is disrupted by other nearby vehicles. In this video, the Delcross Savant software is used to study the effects of a nearby delivery van, whose presence imposes multipath, blockage and diffraction effects on the installed antenna pattern.
