Communication Payload Systems Engineer mf

Your Tasks The candidate will work closely with spacecraft systems, structural, thermal, and AIT engineering to ensure acceptable payload performance from the design phase until the inorbit phase passing by the onground test activities. A portfolio of project responsibilities will be assigned each task having the objective of successful development, integration, test, and acceptance of payload performance. Simultaneous projects in various stages allows for a unique and exciting combination of tasks from early development, to onground and inorbit performance evaluation. Key responsibilities of the Payload Systems Engineer Perform subsystems and systems architecture tradeoffs and performance analysis Interact directly with suppliers, reviewing unit level performance and interfaces for suitability and assess impacts to payload level performance, regular travel to supplier facilities supports the Payload System Engineers and the Satellite AIT Manager with responsibility for ensuring adequate preparation and execution coordination of the full payload test campaign including satellite test campaign Ensures coordination within the AIT department of all stakeholders e.g. Technical Specialists Test Systems Experts EMC team EGSE specialist etc. Perform and review of Payload tests in ground IFT,TVAC,CATR,FFT and in orbit To interface toward the customers for technical and programmatic aspects concerning the Payload Your Qualifications Degree in telecommunications, electronics, microwave, electrical, aerospace engineering or comparable discipline Several years of working experience Experience in RF engineering for Space programs Excellent organization, prioritization, and communications skills Good team worker English working level proficiency We offer A dynamic and motivated international team High degree of scope for creativity, independence and selfinitiative Flat hierarchies and a huge grade of flexibility Attractive benefits such as flexible work time, sport activities...

Interact directly with suppliers, reviewing unit level and subsystem performance and interfaces for suitability To act as a main technical interface toward the costumers and the suppliers for technical and programmatic aspects regarding the antenna subsystem Perform antenna architecture tradeoffs and performance analysis, including definition of requirements and SOW Interaction with the Payload System Engineers team and the Satellite AIT Manager to ensure adequate preparation and execution of the full payload and satellite test campaign Interaction within the project system areas Perform of antenna level tests and satellite inorbit test Support the Systems Engineering Team in the standardisation and improvement processes Your Qualifications Degree in telecommunication, electronics, microwave, electrical, aerospace engineering or comparable discipline Experience in subcontractor management Experience in the space industry is preferred Excellent organization and communication skills Capable of interact in a crossfunctional technical team Working level proficiency in written and spoken English, German language skills are advantageous

It furthermore coordinates all public outreach activities regarding ESA astronauts and their missions. The EAC Communication Team in Cologne, Germany, requires a writing, editing and digital communications support. The ideal candidate will support the EAC Communication Team and will conduct the following tasks Oversee, prepare and implement communication campaigns for human exploration missions in cooperation with ESA Country Desks, Media Relations and the ESA Newsroom, on international level as well as on Member Statenational level. Set up the execution of media and institutional partnerships related to ESA astronauts missions. Oversee and implement editorial work on digital, social, mobile and video channels related to the aforementioned campaigns and other exploration activities.
