Diese Botschaft vermittelt auch der kürzlich erschienene und von der albanischen EuroNatur-Partnerorganisation PPNEA produzierte Dokumentarfilm bears belong to nature , der das Thema Bären in Gefangenschaft in Albanien erstmals in den Scheinwerfer der öffentlichen Aufmerksamkeit rückt. Schätzungen zufolge leben in Albanien mindestens um die 40 Bären in Gefangenschaft und werden in Bars und Restaurants zur Schau gestellt. Neben dem Leid dieser Tiere haben die illegalen Praktiken noch sehr viel weitreichendere Auswirkungen. Durch die Abschüsse der Bärenweibchen und die Entnahme der Jungtiere droht der ohnehin kleine Bärenbestand in Albanien vollständig zusammenzubrechen. Zudem spielt das Land eine Schlüsselrolle für das langfristige Überleben der Braunbären auf dem westlichen Balkan. Tiere, die aus dem Pindosgebirge im Süden oder aus den Nördlichen Dinariden zuwandern, verschwinden in Albanien oft von der Bildfläche. So droht die gesamte Dinariden-Pindos-Population - die sich von Slowenien im Norden bis Griechenland im Süden erstreckt - langsam auszubluten. Mangelnde Aufklärung, mangelnde Kontrolle und fehlende Sanktionen sind einer der Hauptgründe, warum das schmutzige Geschäft mit den Bären funktionieren kann. Mit Unterstützung von EuroNatur hat PPNEA deshalb eine Aufklärungskampagne gestartet. Wesentlicher Teil davon ist der Dokumentarfilm bears belong to nature. Iowa bars Tesla Motors from offering test drives

The Des Moines Register reports that the department said the test drives were illegal because Tesla isn't a licensed auto dealer in Iowa and because Iowa law bars carmakers from retail sales. A Tesla spokeswoman told the newspaper that the company doesn't think the statutes apply because the company was offering only three-day test drives, not actually selling cars.
