Workers who clean JetBlue airplane cabins and other areas protested at the company's New York City headquarters to call for higher safety standards, plus better wages and benefits. Specifically, those workers said their $10.10-per-hour wage is too low, and that the subcontractors that employ them do not provide proper safety equipment such as gloves and goggles, nor do they properly label cleaning chemicals, according to a report by Gothamist.
