A powerful blizzard swept through Colorado on Saturday, dumping at least 2 feet of snow in some parts of the state and forcing the cancellation of most of the scheduled flights at the Denver airport, officials said. All told, more than 800 flights were grounded on Saturday, or more than 65% of all scheduled take-offs and landings at the airport, the FlightAware airline tracking website showed.

Air France's plans to resume flights to Iran have continued to draw ire among members of the airline's cabin staff as gay aircrew last week launched a petition against being "forced" to work on flights to the Islamic Republic.

Six months after announcing it would no longer offer direct flights from Eisenhower National Airport to Dallas and Chicago, flights to new non-stop destinations St. Louis and Phoenix began today. Tish Kemp said the new flight to St. Louis -- en route to frequent trips to Orlando -- would be a nice time-saver over long and crowded layovers in Chicago or Dallas.
