International Paper mill inks deal for natural gas delivery

The International Paper mill in Ticonderoga has signed a deal with NG Advantage LLC to deliver compressed natural gas, according to a statement issued Wednesday. NG Advantage will deliver compressed natural gas using a "Virtual Pipeline" that consists of compressor stations located on natural gas pipelines, a fleet of specially designed carbon fiber CNG trailers, and off-loading and monitoring equipment which NG Advantage is installing at the mill.

Oil and gas activity did cause Azle earthquakes, SMU researchers say

A study led by Southern Methodist University found that high volumes of waste water injection combined with the extraction of saltwater extraction by the oil and gas industry caused the earthquakes in that region. Azle, Reno and other communities northwest of Fort Worth experienced more than 30 minor earthquakes from late 2013 to early 2014.
