" Whole Foods says it has agreed to pay New York City $500,000 to settle allegations it overcharged customers for prepackaged food. The city's Department of Consumer Affairs says the settlement also requires Whole Foods Market Inc. to conduct quarterly audits to ensure products are accurately weighed and labeled.

FAA announced comprehensive settlement agreement with Boeing Commercial Airplanes that resolves multiple pending and potential enforcement cases. Under agreement, BCA pledged to implement and improve several certification processes to further enhance airworthiness and continued compliance of all BCA products. Company must also make immediate payment to the U.S. Treasury in the amount of $12 million and faces stiff penalties for failing to follow through on its commitments.

Hillshire Brands Co., formerly known as Sara Lee Corp., has agreed to pay $4 million to settle a race discrimination suit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the agency said Tuesday. The EEOC claimed that from August 2001 to November 2011, African-American employees in the former Sara Lee facility in Paris, Texas, were subjected to racist graffiti on the walls of the bathrooms and locker room, the agency said in a statement.
