With sub-millimeter distance change capability, analog model measures height and fill levels, complementing presence or absence capability of discrete model. Teach mode has been added to discrete sensor, enabling detection of clear objects without need for retroreflector. Discrete sensor can also determine whether object is present at correct distance and if object is correct.

Hardened distance ring is ground to corresponding dimensions and can then be used for individual height adjustment of slide unit, as well as for offsetting production tolerances and aligning replacement parts.
