Last year was the best year on record for new car sales, with Australian motorists buying more than one million new vehicles for the sixth successive year. Australians snapped up 1.155 million vehicles in 2015, eclipsing the previous full-year record of 1.136 million sales set in 2013, Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries data show.

A Louisiana Supreme Court justice has sued four of his fellow justices, saying they illegally removed him from two cases. Justice Jefferson D. Hughes filed his suit late last month in U.S. District Court in New Orleans after he was removed from two cases against oil companies Anadarko and Exxon-Mobil.
