Compact Photoelectric Sensors integrate background suppression.
2013-07-30 14:30:07| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Supplied in PA18 and PH18 housings, background suppression (BGS) photoelectric sensors operate from -25 to +60°C, have spherical lens design that lends to 200 mm sensing distance range, and are designed to avoid any false detection caused by lighting or EMI. Detection is based on Active Pixel Sensor (APS) CMOS array comprising 64 x 1 sensors; each pixel represents specific position of detected object, offering accurate sensing distance regardless of object color. With repetition rates to 10 kHz, PE50-DIF-ER-C offers energy measurement down to 100 µJ and has diffuser for high damage thresholds up to 20 J/cm² for 300 µs pulses. PE50BB-DIF-C, with flat broadband coating, measures energies down to 0.1 mJ and has flat spectral response from 0.19–20 µm with diffuser removed. With diffuser, sensor supports energy densities up to 3 J/cm² for nanosecond pulses. Both have active aperture areas to 46 mm and user-adjustable threshold that prevents false readings.
