ISO has submitted updated proposal for new field of activity on corrosion control. As U.S. member body to ISO, ANSI invites all interested stakeholders to submit comments on proposal by end of business day Friday, January 15, 2016. Work item proposal, submitted by ANSI and Standardization Administration of China, explains that the standardization of corrosion control would include terms and definitions, general requirements, and evaluation of corrosion control engineering life cycle.

ANSI encourages all stakeholders to review ISO's survey paper on management system standards as well as DIN paper concerning proliferation of management system standards and respond to online survey by January 8, 2016. If national consultations result in consensus on any specific issues or concerns regarding ISO management system standards (MSS), ISO Technical Management Board (TMB) will consider and establish appropriate mechanisms to address said issues and concerns.

Work item proposal notes that the standard is intended for use by producers or sellers of goods and services to offer best practices and requirements for effective warranties and guarantees when these are provided with their goods and services. Proposal has been updated to reflect content related to other countries and online shopping. Comments are due by end of business day Dec 4, 2015.
