Eagle death spurs new power line protections

Alliant Energy is taking action to keep birds safe after an eagle was electrocuted on one of its power poles near Keota earlier this year. Alliant Energy workers spent Monday morning installing avian protection equipment on power poles on 190th St. in Keota, near the area where the eagle was electrocuted.
