Mike Jackson , CEO of Fort Lauderdale-based AutoNation , was appointed as the deputy chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's board of directors this week. As part of the board of directors, Jackson will contribute to the creation of U.S. monetary policy by sharing economic issues in the Southeast with the Federal Reserve, in addition to overseeing the management of the bank's operations and recommending changes in the discount rate.
