In Optical Society's (OSA) research journal, Optica, researchers at University of Ottawa report that twisted light pulses in vacuum travel up to 0.1% slower than speed of light. Research team leader Ebrahim Karimi noted that this fact is of importance to anyone intent on using twisted light for quantum communication. According to Karimi and fellow paper author Frederic Bouchard, twisted light holds great potential for encoding in quantum communication and quantum computers.

The Kelihos botnet is sending emails purporting to be from Apple, informing targets they have purchased a film through their iTunes account using a PC or other device not previously linked to their Apple ID.
