Harris Teeter opened this new store in Clayton in 2013, and will open a new store in Cary at Village Square shopping center on Oct. 29. Construction is wrapping up at the newly redeveloped Village Square shopping center in Cary with the new Harris Teeter grocery store expected to open by Oct. 29. The Harris Teeter store will be relocating from a space near Cary Towne Center mall into a new 53,000-square-foot space at Village Square, says Henry Ward of York Properties in Raleigh. Village Square was previously known as the home to foreign film favorite Galaxy Cinema, but the theater had to be torn down to make way for the new grocery store building.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation and Portland Police Bureau advise the traveling public that a crosswalk enforcement action is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. to raise awareness of pedestrian safety and Oregon traffic laws.
Street improvements to close lanes on NE Killingsworth Street from NE 33rd to NE 41st avenues Oct. 16-20

The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require lane closures of NE Killingsworth Street from NE 33rd Avenue to NE 41st Avenue from Thursday, October 16, through Monday, October 20, 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. each weekday. Some work may also be done this weekend.
