DEQ fined OHSU for mislabeling hazardous waste

Oregon Healthy and Science University was recently fined for mismanaging and mislabeling hazardous waste and cited for three other minor violations, but the hospital quickly resolved the issues, the Department of Environmental Quality said Monday. The state agency fined OHSU $6,750 after an unannounced inspection in June found the hospital wasn't labeling, or was labeling inappropriately, hazardous waste containers in its storage facilities.
