(Telecompaper) The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have joined the Department of Justice (DoJ) in its investigation into Facebook and its role in sharing data with Cambridge Analytica, the Washington Post reported. The investigation will look into the data leaks that affected 71 million people in the US.

The practices nudged users toward accepting privacy options that favored the tech companies rather than themselves, the NCC found. Facebook and Google have no intention of providing users with an actual choice, the NCC has claimed.
