Razer unveils mobile gaming controllers, concept 5G router at CES

(Telecompaper) Razer has introduced new concept products at CES, including a 5G router and controllers to turn smartphones into full gaming devices. No launch date was announced for the router, but the gaming controllers should be available in early 2020, the company said.

Last week in media: more competition coming to streaming gaming and streaming music

(Telecompaper) The streaming gaming and streaming music segments got more competitive last week, with new services announced or launching. Viacom and CBS were closing in on their merger, whereas Vivendi may say goodbye to its Mediaset stake. The Telecompaper Global Media index ended week 47 down 0.4 percent, in line with the S&P 500 (-0.3%). Zee Entertainment (+24%) was the best stock to own. MTG (Modern Times Group) and comScore also did well, both up 10 percent.

Microsoft starts public preview of mobile gaming service Project xCloud

Sprint expands 5G coverage, to offer Hatch cloud gaming on 5G smartphones

(Telecompaper) The cloud gaming service Hatch has another mobile operator partner with Sprint. The US carrier will offer access to Hatch pre-loaded on its 5G smartphones, including a three-month free trial. Sprint also announced the expansion of its 5G service to new markets and the launch of the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G model.

German gaming industry to grow 5.2 percent yearly until 2023 - PwC

(Telecompaper) The German gaming market will grow by 5.2 percent per year between 2019 and 2023, when it will generate total revenues of EUR 6.1 billion, according to the first results of the report 'German Entertainment and Media Outlook 2019 - 2023' by PwC.
