(Telecompaper) Mobile messaging service Line has launched its music streaming service in Japan. Line started testing its music streaming app for USD 2 per month in Thailand in May. For a monthly fee of JPY 500 (approximately USD 4) per month, Line Music users can access 20 hours of music streaming, TechCrunch reports. Subscribers can access a catalogue of over 1.5 million songs. Customers who opt for unlimited access to the Line Music service will be charged JPY 1,000 per month.

(Telecompaper) NBN Co, the Australian company rolling out the National Broadband Network, has commercially launched Fibre to the Building (FTTB) technology. NBN Co's FTTB service allows families and businesses in multi-dwelling units (such as apartment complexes and office blocks) to receive broadband services by connecting fibre-optic cable to existing building wiring. NBN Co is currently deploying FTTB technology to 6,000 homes and businesses in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Over one million homes and businesses across Australia will receive the National Broadband Network over FTTB.
