Journalist Jeremy Gutsche has racked up an in-flight Wi-Fi bill that would knock you flat - $1200 on a 12-hour flight from London to Singapore. Writing in www.trendhunter.com , Mr Gutsche said: "I had an otherwise enjoyable flight, but the sticker shock of being gouged $1200 made me feel like I was deplaning from Total Bastard Airlines."

Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan was arrested Monday after allegedly assaulting a member of airline staff on a transatlantic flight and head-butting a police officer who tried to arrest her. O'Riordan, 43, was removed from the plane by officers at Shannon Airport in mid-West Ireland following the alleged incident on board an Aer Lingus flight from New York to Shannon Airport.

AT&T abandons in-flight wireless plans to focus on DirecTV and Iuseacell deals

AT&T is no longer planning to compete with Gogo, Global Eagle and others in the in-flight connectivity industry. The nation's second largest wireless provider has offially grounded plans to build a new air-to-ground network that would have provided airline passengers with speedy in-flight Wi-Fi service.
