StarHub pay TV subscribers down 4,000 in 1Q 2013

StarHub has announced its results for the quarter ended 31 March 2013. The company's Pay TV customer base decreased by 13,000 YoY to 532,000 households and the churn rate was at 1.2%. YoY, there was a S$1 Pay TV ARPU increase to S$52.

StarHub Launches StarHub TV on Fibre

The IPTV service, StarHub TV on Fibre, offers access to HD content and over three times as many TV channels as the existing digital terrestrial platform. The service will initially be available only to commercial customers such as offices, restaurants and pubs.

StarHub has announced results for the quarter and year ended 31 December 2012. At the end of 2012, StarHub's Pay TV subscriber base totaled 536,000 after the quarter's net churn of 5,200 subscribers. Compared to a year ago, this was 8,700 subscribers or 1.6% lower.
