Designed to help protect marine mammals, Sealing System uses air cushion process to reduce underwater noise generated during foundation work for offshore facilities by 10 dB. System consists of 3 sealing rings that enclose external hollow pipe on upper end against column to be driven, allowing air to be compressed into middle space, displacing water. According to AEM, U.S. construction machinery exports dropped 21% during first half of 2013, with $10.8 billion shipped to global markets compared to $13.7 billion at midyear 2012. Exports to Europe declined 20% for total of $1.4 billion, and dropped 15% to Canada for total of $3.7 billion. Exports to Asia decreased 24% to $1.2 billion.
