Singapore Airlines profit lifted by one-off gain

Singapore Airlines Ltd. Friday reported a four-fold jump in its fiscal third quarter net profit, primarily because of a one-off gain after Tiger Airways Holdings Ltd. became a unit of the carrier. Net profit in the October-to-December quarter was 202.6 million Singapore dollars , compared with S$50.1 million in the same quarter of the previous year.

TeliaSonera flags up USD275m one-off hit, mainly on Eurasia

Swedish group TeliaSonera has disclosed that its Q4 2014 financial results will be impacted by non-recurring items of SEK2.232 billion , of which a net SEK1.973 billion relate to non-cash items. As reported by TelecomLead, TeliaSonera will record SEK1.465 billion non-cash impairment charges related to goodwill and other fixed assets in Tajikistan, Georgia and Moldova, largely due to economic uncertainty in its Eurasian divisions.
