Nestle cuts growth forecast as food prices fall

Swiss food giant Nestle cuts its annual growth forecast to 3.5%, from 4.2% forecast in August, as it says food prices are falling.

World food prices were up 10% year on year in September, according the Food and Agriculture Organisation's (FAO) food price index.

The cost of food is falling by record amounts, but a weaker pound may lead to price increases, warns the British Retail Consortium.
