Four U.S. senators have proposed a bill that would call on the Federal Communications Commission to study the need for more spectrum to connect Internet of Things devices. The bill , proposed by a bipartisan group of senators, would require the FCC to look at whether there is enough spectrum to support the continued growth of IoT.

Forty-five percent of IT pros confessed they knowingly worked around their own security policies, according to the survey. Moreover, 33 percent admitted to hacking their own or another organization's systems.

NEW YORK: Consumers expressed concern on social media about a talc-based baby powder made by Johnson & Johnson on Wednesday after a Missouri jury ordered the company to pay US$72 million in damages to the family of a woman who said her death from cancer was linked to use of the product. "Johnson & Johnson" was a trending term on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

China Mobile targets half billion LTE users by year-end

(Telecompaper) China Mobile has announced its business targets of reaching 1.40 million TD-LTE base stations, selling 330 million 4G devices and expanding the 4G subscriber base to over 500 million by end-2016. According to China Mobile chairman Shang Bing, the company has deployed 1.10 million TD-LTE base stations by end-2015, covering over 1.2 billion population and has achieved 4G roaming with 114 countries and regions. China Mobile sold 300 million TD-LTE devices in 2015, following the addition of more than 400 TD-LTE users per minute.
