Dutch consumer TV revenues grow to EUR 384 million study

(Telecompaper) The number of digital TV connections in the Netherlands rose 1.7 percent during the first quarter to 6.478 million lines, according to a study by Telecompaper. The total includes 3.67 million cable TV subscribers who also have an analogue TV connection. Almost 84 percent of all Dutch consumer TV connections use digital TV services. Telecompaper expects the number of digital TV connections to grow this year by 7.5 percent to around 6.85 million connections at year end.

The report 'Dutch Mobile Consumer Q3-2012' gives detailed information on the demographics of Dutch mobile consumers, their preferred sales channels, reasons for selecting a provider, average spending, most-used services and use of additional bundles alongside the ongoing subscription. The report also gives insight per mobile service provider (Hi, KPN, Telfort, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Tele2 and Others). The Dutch Mobile Consumer Report is based on the responses of almost 21,000 respondents from our Telecompaper Consumer Panel during the period July to September 2012. Results are CBS stratified for gender, age (12-80) and education. Telecompaper has published the same data split by mobile handset brand: Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG, HTC, Motorola, Apple, Blackberry, operator-branded and Others.
