Latah County Judge John Stegner is considering whether the owner of Syringa Mobile Home Park in Moscow should be held in contempt, again. Early last year, the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality filed a complaint against Magar E. Magar citing various problems with the water system at the park.

Federal District Judge Ronald A. Guzman has entered a final opinion and order finding Supervalu/Jewel-Osco in contempt of court for multiple violations of the consent decree previously entered by the court to resolve the EEOC's Americans with Disabilities Act lawsuit against the supermarket giant. Ruling on objections Jewel-Osco had filed to a magistrate judge's report and recommendation, made after a three-day hearing in March and April 2014 that found that Jewel had violated the consent decree, Judge Guzman found on December 2 that Jewel failed to conduct an interactive process with and provide accommodations to three former Jewel-Osco employees who attempted to return to work from medical leaves of absence.

Microsoft's unveil of Windows 10 yesterday was one of the most humble, apologetic things I've ever seen in technology. After years of defending Windows 8's weird mashup of new Metro and old Desktop, there wasn't a glimmer of hubris or righteousness on the face of Microsoft's Myerson or Belfiore as they showed off an early version of Windows 10. Windows 10 is basically the upgraded version of Windows 7 that we've always asked for -- but is that a good thing?

The American unit of Bayer AG is making unsubstantiated claims about its Phillips Colon Health product, the United States said on Friday as it sought to hold Bayer Corp in contempt of a court order for the statements. Bayer claimed the product can "defend against" occasional constipation, diarrhea and other problems, but did not have reliable scientific evidence to support the description, the U.S. Department of Justice said.
