Manufactured in widths from 4–80 in., 2 ½ in. pitch steel belt can accommodate applications that involve producing/removing chips or moving parts/scrap pieces. Belt hinge is designed as one continuous piece, and incline covers (top hat design) can be included when larger amounts of stringy or balled chips are to be removed from machine. I took this photograph, way back in late October of 1990. Heading south / southeast past much lineside vegetation overgrowth through south suburban Alsip Illinois, this Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad transfer train passes by just east of the South Cicero Avenue overpass bridge near west 118th Street.
