UHF Blade Antenna
2013-08-29 18:13:12| rfglobalnet Products
This UHF blade antenna has a frequency band of 400-450 MHz , 20 watts average power, linear polarization (vertical), with SMA female connection. The size of the base and number of hold down locations have been increased to support the larger blade structure required at UHF band. The fin and base are constructed out of one piece, providing a rugged unit designed for high dynamic loads. The stainless steel construction provides tolerance to extreme temperatures.

HaighFarr P/N 6300 UHF Blade is based on the identical materials and construction as our 60XX and 61XX series Blade Antennas. Originally introduced in the early ‘70’s, our Blades have proven to be a reliable, rugged antenna for a variety of applications. With over 30,000 of these antennas produced, our 6300 model continues in his tradition and extends the operating frequency down to 400 MHz.

Radiation Pattern Measurements Of The Nasa Mars Science Laboratory UHF Entry Antenna Using A Spherical Near-Field Range
2013-08-29 12:43:47| rfglobalnet News Articles
Measurements of a conical micro-strip Wraparound™ antenna array mounted on a portion of the entry vehicle for NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory mission were completed at Nearfield Systems, Inc.’s new spherical near-field range facility. The Wraparound™ antenna, designed and manufactured by Haigh-Farr, Inc., provides nearly full spherical coverage and operates in the UHF frequency band for telecommunications to orbiting assets at Mars. A summary of the measurements techniques and results are presented, along with a comparison of the measured and calculated patterns. By Paula R. Brown, David Farr, John Demas, and Jesus A. Aguilar
