French mobile operators welcome changes to draft law aimed at securing 5G networks

(Telecompaper) French telecom federation FFTelecoms (Federation Francaise des Telecoms) described as a step in the right direction the move by the country's Senate to make changes to draft legislation brought in to improve the security of mobile infrastructure. The proposed law attracted strong criticism from the industry, and prompted concerns that the new authorisation regime could cause delays in the operators' deployment roadmaps.

Three-quarters of pay TV operators to gain subs

According to Digital TV Research, three-quarters of the worlds pay TV operators will gain subscribers between 2018 and 2024 with two-thirds increasing their revenues over the same period. The top 50 operators will continue to account for two-thirds of subscribers.
