Crossovers and SUVs drive Honda to record July

The automaker's sales arm Monday said it sold 146,324 cars and trucks last month, a 7.7 percent gain from July 2014, driven by record results for its Honda and Acura light trucks in total as well as July records for East Liberty-built Honda CR-V and Acura RDX crossovers and the Marysville-built Acura ILX sedan. Honda's gain was above the 4.7 percent gain projected by analysts survey by Bloomberg.
