Toyota Motor Corp. will turn to a little-known company instead of Apple Inc. or Google Inc. to provide navigation and phone connectivity, as it seeks to maintain control of the car features. The 2016 Tacoma pickup will be the first of several Toyota models to use Scout GPS Link from Telenav Inc. The company allows Android and iPhone users to pull up directions and traffic information on their phone or Toyota dashboard while giving the carmaker more say over how to configure the system.

Chevron To Cut 500 Jobs From East Bay Corporate Offices

Roughly 500 people working out of Chevron's corporate offices in San Ramon will be losing their jobs, a spokeswoman for the oil giant said today. The job reductions are part of a $1 billion cost-savings effort for the company, Chevron spokesperson Melissa Ritchie said.

Men's Wearhouse grew its net income more than threefold, Pacific Sunwear posted a double-digit increase in profit, thanks to a non-cash gain, and Belk saw its earnings more than halve due to higher expenses.
