A young woman said she was kicked off a city bus because of a broken sandal before she was raped about 1:50 a.m. on Saturday near the Ohio State University campus, according to a Columbus police report. Lawyers for an unlicensed New Hampshire driver charged with driving into a group of bicyclists, killing two of them, are seeking to suppress blood samples from evidence in her upcoming trial. Police said 20-year-old Darriean Hess of Seabrook was driving last September without a license, speeding and under the influence of drugs when she ran into the bicyclists in Portsmouth.

A Rogers woman who is deaf and has limited vision disappeared after going to a local grocery store Wednesday afternoon, police said. Camille Page, 72, was last seen about 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewel-Osco at 1763 W. Howard St., according to a missing person alert from Area North detectives.

A woman has been struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Tacoma. Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad spokesman Gus Melonas says the woman was walking near BNSF railway tracks near downtown when the train hit her about 8:20 a.m. Thursday.
