A New York-based limited liability company is selling sneakers and clothing that have branding that looks too similar to those for the Adidas and Adidas-owned Reebok brands, a lawsuit claims. Adidas, in the case filed this week in federal court in Portland, is asking that TRB Acquisitions LLC be prevented from continued sale of its products that allegedly infringe on the Adidas and Reebok trademarks, that TRB pay Adidas damages as well as product profits, and attorney fees.

NAACP, Steve Forbes Accuse DISH of Bilking Taxpayers Out of $3 Billion

The NAACP and free-market evangelist Steve Forbes joined a growing chorus this week in criticizing DISH Network's scheme to bilk taxpayers out of more than $3 billion. In a letter to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler Thursday, the Communications Workers of America and the NAACP claimed that in the FCC's most recent spectrum auction, "the largest beneficiary of the 'small business' bidding credit was DISH Network, a company with a $34.6 billion market cap."
