In May last year, long-struggling operator Digicel filed for bankruptcy, citing $7.4 billion in ‘unsustainable debts’. Now, the company is looking to rapidly offload its mobile phone networks across the Pacific region, including in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.
