Michael Denny, 44, of East Price Hill, is accused of stealing Christmas trees from the Kroger parking lot on Warsaw Ave. Cincinnati police said they spotted Denny stealing eight trees around 9:30 a.m. Monday. He was driving an ATV, which police said was stolen from a dealership.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said Wednesday that it has sued the third-largest U.S. cellphone carrier over billing for unauthorized charges, a practice known as "cramming."

Chesapeake couple accused of embezzlement in suit

A local plumbing, sheet metal and HVAC company is suing its former accounting manager and her husband, saying the couple embezzled more than $400,000 to buy boats and real estate and open accounts in their name. The civil lawsuit accuses Chesapeake resident Lynda C. Johnson of taking large sums of money from Comfort Systems of Virginia, Inc., and disguising the transfers as company expenses.
