Cobham Awarded $31M U.S. Navy Contract For Additional Low Band Transmitters

Cobham has been awarded a $31.7M contract from the US Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to manufacture the AN/ALQ-99 Low Band Transmitter-Antenna Group for Navy and Marine Corps EA-6B and EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft.

Available for thermocouple Types J, K, or T and 3-wire RTD type Pt100, ProSense non-programmable transmitters provide linearized 2-wire 4–20 mA current loop output. Programmable models, compatible with variety of thermocouple and RTD types, feature linear resistance of 10–400 Ω and 10–2,000 Ω. Head-mount models are powered by 8–35 Vdc, while DIN rail-mount models are powered by 12-35 Vdc.
