The 2016 U.S. presidential campaign reminds me of the late newsman H.L. Mencken's comment, "A national political campaign is better than the best circus ever heard of, with a mass baptism and a couple of hangings thrown in." The way things are going in the Republican Party it is quite possible we'll see a convention walkout and a third-party run, probably by Donald Trump or Sen. Ted Cruz or the two together.
